People become members in our organization upon becoming firefighters and EMS providers with Canaan, New Hampshire, Fire Rescue. The Association supports the initiatives of the department members apart from their work as first responders. The Association partners with community organizations and annual events each year, including the Old Home Days Summer events, annual car shows, school-based safety initiatives and holiday events such as Christmas in Canaan and each October’s Trick or Treat open house.

Getting involved in an association’s yearly activities isn’t just about showing up—it’s about stitching yourself into the fabric of the community. Town events and local initiatives create opportunities to connect, build trust, and keep the mission visible, while also fueling the fundraising that sustains it all year long. Every hour volunteered, every event supported, and every conversation had helps turn small efforts into lasting impact, ensuring the organization can continue to serve when it matters most.
